Our Story
Banning United for Public Safety (BUPS) was born out of a shared commitment to strengthen the relationship between our community and those who serve it. What began as the Police Advisory Committee created a valuable space for dialogue, trust-building, and collaboration between residents and local law enforcement. As that connection grew, so did the vision.
Recognizing the need to expand our impact, we evolved into a nonprofit organization to better support community engagement efforts and create more opportunities for connection. This transition allows BUPS to accept donations and sponsorships, helping us fund meaningful programs, host community events, and bring residents and first responders together in positive and lasting ways.
Today, BUPS continues to build on that foundation—turning conversation into action, partnerships into progress, and shared purpose into a safer, more united Banning.

Banning United for Public Safety is dedicated to strengthening the bond between first responders and the community by fostering positive engagement, open communication, and meaningful partnerships. Our purpose is to create opportunities that bring people together, build trust, and promote collaboration in support of public safety.
Through community events, outreach, and strategic partnerships, BUPS works to connect residents with the resources, programs, and individuals who serve them every day. We believe that when a community is informed, engaged, and united, it creates a safer and more supportive environment for all.
